why does pcl4- not exist in nature ? need perfect reason

The oxidation state of P in PCl4- is +3 as we know that the stability of the +5 oxidation state is high and decreases as we go down the group. on the contrary stability of +3 increases from top to bottom of the group.Hence PCl4- is not stable and unlikely to exist.
