as far as the cathode ray discharge tube experiment was concerned , then u must be aware that , some invisible rays will be emitted from the -ve cathode which will make greenish glow at the opposite wall of discharge tube .
so, for making that greenish glow we required such a condition where the particle or molecules should be at the low energy state , and ROOM TEMP , is the nessasary condition for that .
