As 2d is no orbital that is sustaining.
d orbital starts with quantum number 3
check if the options are correct.

@shashank option no aturns out to be the correct option . " as its a ground state . in any energy level if electron absorba photon of energy equal to the enrgy of electron in that level then electron is ejected from atom and no photon is emitted , " HOPE IT CLEARS YOUR DOUBT ALL THE BEST ..

option a as it is tje lowest energy state possible so electron can absorb photon but couldnot emit it

option A is correct as it is the lowest energy orbital so it will not allow to release photon because if it will allow then where will electron go
