The magnetic quantum no.(m) refers to the different orientations of electron cloud in a particular sub-shell.These different orientations are called orbitals.The possible values of m are +l through 0 to -l,where l is azimuthal quantum no.
Now, for azimuthal quantum no.(l) having value 1 ,the possible values of m will be
m = +1,0 and -1.
