Given that equal number of sulphate ions in both FeSO4 and Fe2(SO4)3 FeSO4 Fe2(SO4)3No of moles of Fe (Fe2+) = 1 (Fe3+) = 2No of moles of Sulphate 1 3To make equal number of sulphate multiply column FeSO4 by 3 No of moles of Fe (Fe2+) = 3 (Fe3+) = 2 Thus the Fe2+ / Fe 3+ ratio are 3 : 2
