What is the effect of temperature on the rate constant of a reaction? How can this effect of temperature on rate constant be represented quantitatively?

The rate constant is nearly doubled for a 10 degree rise in temperature.Thus it increases on increasing the temperature.
the rate constant is given by
k=Ae^-Ea/RT
where
a=constant
Ea is the activation energy
T is the temperature
R is the gas constant
