Volatile liquids vaporize easily and quickly at room temperature. Non- volatile don`t. For example petrol or diesel is a volatile liquid while water isn`t.

volatile liquids are those whose vapour pressure is more than the atmospheric pressure at STP.e.g. Petrol. Non-volatile liquids are those whose vapour pressure is less than the atmospheric pressure at STP e.g. Water .

Volatile liquid are those which easily gets evaporated at normal temperature whereas non-volatile are those which does not evaporate at normal temperature. Eg of volatile liquid are gasoline and alcohol. Eg of non volatile are glycerine ,sugar and salt.
