What is the difference between hydration and solvation? Please explain SIMPILY!!!!!

Hydration is the attachment of the water molecules or is called as addition of the H2O molecule to the compound.
Solvation is the breaking of the bond woth the release of the water molecule.

Hydration is the process of dissolving a substance in washer and the energy released is hydration enthalpy. Solvation is dissolving a substance in any liquid but water, energy released is solvation enthalpy. Hope it helps u!
