Answer: When CO combines with blood, the following reaction occurs forming carboxyhaemoglobin:-
HB + CO —> (HBCO) Carboxyhaemoglobin

When CO (carbon monoxide) combines with Hb (haemoglobin) in blood. It forms a stable compound called CARBOXY HAEMOGLOBIN. 
Its stable because Hb has very high affinity for CO than O2
