Antibiotics are the chemical substances which are produced by micro-organisms like bacteria,fungi and molds that can inhibit the growth or even destroy other micro-organisms.For ex- Penicillin
Broad-spectrum antibiotics are the medicines which are effective against several different types of harmful micro -organisms.For ex-tetracycline,chloramphenicol etc.Chloramphenicol is used in typhoid,dysentery,acute fever and in certain form of urinary infections.
