It is classified asstrongly acidicand can attack the skin over a wide composition range, since the hydrogen chloride completely dissociates in an aqueous solution.

Hydrochloric acid (also called HCL, HCL acid or betaine hydrochloride in supplement form) is considered one of the most important fluids (or “juices”) found in the human body. HCL is found inside the stomach and needed for many processes involved in digestive health.
Gastric fluids help us break down the foods we eat so we can absorb their nutrients and get rid of waste.
