Density is a measurement that compares the amount of matter an object has to its volume. An object with a lot of matter in a certain amount of volume has high density.

If m is the mass of the gas in grams and M is the molecular mass of the gas, then

n = m/ M

P V = n R T

P V = (m / M) R T

P = (m R T) /( V M)

P = (d R T) / M

d= (P M) / (R T)
