When pressure variables becomes constant in the phase rule F=C-P+2, then it is termed as condensed phase rule : F=C-P+1 . Sometimes the vapour pressure of solid as well as liquid system is negligible as compared to atmospheric pressure,as such the vapour phase becomes not existent and can be ignored.Such systems are called condensed sytems.
