A battery or galvanic cell stores energy in chemical form in its active materials and can this convert this to electrical energy on demand, typically by means of an electrochemical oxidation-reduction.

two types of cell generally
1- PRIMARY CELL
2- SECONDARY CELL
primary cell can be used once in their lifetime , and secondary cell are rechargable and we can use that again , and again
