The urine sample of Diabetic patient consist of glucose; which is a type of reducing sugar. It reduces the fehling’s solution and changes its colour to red (or red precipitate). As the dissolved copper (II) ions are reduced to insoluble copper (I) oxide in fehling’s solution.
