Dear student,

Here the mass of neutrons and protons as well as a completely formed Helium nucleus must be given.

So the energy released would be equal to the mass difference of reactants and products multiplied byc^2.

Hence energy released=(2m_p+2m_n-M_{He})c^2
wherecis the speed of light.
