The standard electrode potential of Aluminum is higher than Hydrogen still it is stable in water and air. Explain the cause.

Becaue Al has the power or tendency to form Al(OH)3 in both air and water and hecne is still stable than Hydrogen although its standard electrode potential of Aluminum is higher than Hydrogen.
