Dear student
EA of Cl is more than F due to the greater size of Cl.
F has small size therefore more electron density,, the incoming electron face more repulsion.
While Cl, due to larger size, has more electron accepting tendency.

Because  chlorine size is more than fluorine and thus not just attracting any e but also giving it space to enter i.e., in chlorine

EA of cl is more than f because the size of cl is larger than f.due to small size charge density in f is more than cl and hence in case of cl the incoming electron feels attraction whereas in case of f in fells repulsion.

this is because of small size of fluorine that it provides more repulsion to the incoming electron rather than attraction and also its charge density is also very large that chlorine due to it’s small size
