Hello Student
[H3O+] = 3.8 x 10-3
pH = – log [H3O+] = – log (3.8 x 10-3)
= – (log 3.8 – 3 log 10)
= – log 3.8 + 3.0 = – 0.589 + 3 = 2.42
The pH of a sample of soft drink whose hydronium ion concentration is 3.8 x 10-3M is equal to 2.42

Dear Student

Given,
[H3O+] = 3.8 x 10-3

Therefore,
pH = – log [H3O+]
pH = – log (3.8 x 10-3)
pH = – (log 3.8 – 3 log 10)
pH = – log 3.8 + 3.0
pH = – 0.589 + 3
pH = 2.42

I hope this answer will help you.
Thanks & Regards
