							The correct answer is (b).
The stopping potential is the negative potential(p.d) applied on the collector tube so that the photocurrent reduces to zero. So, the photoelectrons are emitted but are reabsorbed by the emitter metal. The electrons emitted from the emitter plates do not reach the collector plate.
