Reaction 2Br- (aq) + Cl​​​​ 2 (aq) ----->.2Cl- (aq) + Br​ 2 (aq) is used for commercial preparation of bromine from its salts. Suppose we have 50 ml of a 0.06 M solution of NaBr. What volume of a 0.05 M solution of Cl 2 is needed to react react completely with the Br? Pls show the steps with explanation for this sum.

From 50 ml and 0..06 M of NaBr moles of Br- =>  0.06*50/1000 => 0.06/20 = 0.003 moles.
Now  from 0.003 moles of Br- we get, the moles of Cl2 => 0.003/2 => 0.0015 moles.
Now Volumerequired would be:
0.0015 = 0.05*V
V => 0.0015/0.05 => 0.03 litre or  => 30 ml.
