Reaction rate = [SO2]2.[O2] If pressure is increased 3 times then (at same temperature) volume must decrease 3 times as well. So [SO2] and [O2] both increase 3 times. This is because [SO2] and [O2] is inversely proportional to volume. So reaction rate increases 3^2.3 =27 times
