Reducing agent is an element or a compound that reduces other compound and itself gets oxidised.
Hydrogen peroxide acts both as reducing agent as well as an oxidising agent because in this compound the oxidation state of oxygen is -1 so it oxidises itself by loosing electron and achieves zero oxidation state .
In acidic medium : H2O2 + 2H+ ---> O2 + 2e-
In basic medium : H2O2 + 2OH- ---> 2H2O +O2 + 2e-
