Since the given Atomic number is 14 (no. Of electrons = atomic no. = No. Of protons)
Remove two electrons from X (X²+)= 14-2= 12 (answer)

The question itself is wrong. It should've been, "If the ion X3- has 14 PROTONS". Not 14 electrons. Please rectify the mistake kindly.
