1. Hydrolysis of Protein:
Proteins are the building blocks of body. These are polymers of amino acids. Hydrolysis of protein by either enzyme pepsin or the acid, results in breakdown of protein polymers into amino acids.
2. Hydrolysis of Nucleotides: Nucleotides which are building blocks of proteins and these are formd by combination of nucleosides. Hydrolysis of nucleotides break them into nucleosides. Nuclosides are formed by combination of a ribose sugar, a nitrogenous base and a phosphate group.
3. Lactose is a disaccharide sugar formed of galactose and glucose units. Lactose is the main sugar present in milk. Hydrolysis of lactose results in formation of galactose and glucose units
