in l=2 there are 5 orbitals and each orbital can have a max. of 2 electrons.therefore the max. no. of electrons in n=3 and l=2 is 5*2 =10

No,as for N=3,the possible values of l are 0,1,2 thus,the max electrons will be 2+6+10=18.(2 for s- orbital, 6 for p-orbital and 10 for d-orbital).
