in cool drinks, CO2 gas and water are pressent.
why don’t they react to each other and don’t give carbonic acid.

They do react to form form carbonic acid but the reaction of CO2 and water into carbonic acid is a reversible reaction.When we release the pressure the reaction shifts towards the water and CO2 side.Hence whenever we drink a cola it is simple sugar solution with flavour with CO2 bubbles coming out.
