All the f-block elements contains electrons in f subshellAll elements have orbitals and orbitals can have 4 types of orbitals..s   p   d   f. Each orbital has its own capacity for electrons..s=2p=6d=10f=14.  Maximum no. of elements in a period = max no of electrons in its outer most shell.  Since period number increases, the no. of orbitals in the outermost orbit increase.so max electrons increases and so capacity of each period increases.
