(i) The standard oxidation potential Eo with respect to Standard Hydrogen Electrode (SHE) for half cell reactions are: Zn = Zn2+ + 2e; Eo = +0.76 V and Fe = Fe2+ + 2e-; Eo = + 0.41 V. Find out the standard EMF of the cell reaction: Fe2+ + Zn = Zn2+ + Fe with respect to Calomel electrode (CE) where standard reduction potential of CE is 0.2415V (with respect to SHE)

See Fe2+ is changing to Fe---> Reduction E = -0.41
and Zn is changing to Zn2+ ---> Oxidation E = +0.76

So net E = 0.76-0.41 = 0.35

now if you want to find wrt Calomel electrode then it will be 0.35-0.2415 =0.1085 V
