Qc – reaction quotient
Kc- equilibrium quotient
when
Qc=Kc (reaction in equilibrium)
Qc>Kc (reaction proceeds in the backward direction)
Qc
usually Kc would be given and you would be asked to predict the above three with the values of moles given to you at an instant of time.
with the moles given at an instant of time you can calculate Qc.
Qc and Kc has got nearly the same function but just they are named at different instants of time.
Kc at equilirbium and Qc at any other instant of time.
BEST OF LUCK!!
