Kc and kp are equilibrium constants and are applicable only to reactions in equilibrium which is also symbolised on paper byan equilibrium arrow (⇄ or ⇌). Kc and Kp are not valid for- Reactions not in equilibriumA component of the reaction is solid or liquid or otherwise stated!

kis equilibrium constant in terms of partial pressure and kc is equilibrium constant in terms of concentration . and there is a relation between kp and kc kp=kc.RTdelta ng
now if the concentration of the reaction species is given then you will calculate kc and if partial pressure of the reacting species is given then you will calculate kc. if both is given then you can calculate anyone of your choice..
