There is a total of three subatomic particles – electrons, neutrons and protons. There are alpha and beta particles as well that are present.
The mass of the atoms is in the nucleus that is said to be a small dense area at the centre. Then the nucleons include the neutrons and protons.
Neutrons are positively charged while electrons are negatively charged.
