open chain structure of glucose is discarded in the following case
(1)free aldehyde group give 2,4DNP test,schiffs test and reacts withNaHSO4 whereas such reaction is not shown by glucose
(2)pentaacetate of glucose does not reacts with hydroxylamine.free CHO group is absent
(3)existence of glucose in two crystalline form that is,alpha and beta.it cannot be explained by the free structure of glucose
