Let the mass of compound be 100 g
So mass of carbon will be 36 g
Moles of carbon is 36/12 = 3 moles
Given that each molecule contain two carbon atoms
therefore moles of compound will be 1.5 in 100g sample
So in 10 g there will be 0.15 moles of compound
