Gibbs nergy is a kind of an enthalpy required or is the maximum work done at constant temperature or pressure at any thermodyanamic system in a reversible process.
So therfore for compression procession the Pressure needs to be decreases at any conatant volume or temperature therefore the work would get done and the Gibbs energy is valid there.
