no of moles = given mass / molar mass 1=given mass/ 12  (12 is the molar mass of carbon)

given mass of carbon is 12 into 1 which is 12g

co2 contains one atom of carbon and two atoms of oxygen

molar mass of oxygen is 16  no of moles = given mass / molar mass   1=given mass / 32  given mass is 32g

total mass is 12+32 = 44g

  1. 2=given mass/12   then given mass is 24g  and mass of dioxygen is 16g   total mass is 24+16=40g
