question mark

An element in the ground state has three electrons in its highest occupied energy level. The quantum numbers of these three electrons are:2,1,0,+1/2,2,1,1,+1/2,2,1,-1,+1/2
  1. Which orbitals do these electrons occupy?
  2. What is the name of the element?
  3. Give the four quantum numbers for one of the electrons in the energy level that is second-highest occupied

(i) p-orbital as Azimuthal Quantam No. is 1 i.e. p-orbital
(ii) Nitrogen as n = 2 and l = 1 i.e. 2p and no. of electron is 3 So, outer electronic configuration is 2p^3. So, Element is Nitrogen
(iii) Don’t know
