initial pressure=800mm of Hg,initial volume=500ml
final volume=
500 mL - (89% of 500 mL) = 55 mL
applying boyles law
P1V1=P2V2
(800 mmHg) x (500 mL) / (55 mL) = 7273 mmHg
As th piston compresses thus the final pressure is more than the innitial pressure
