a compressed cylinder of gas contain 1.5*10^3 gm of N2 gas at a pressure of 2*10^7 pa and a temperature of 17.1`c. what volume of gas has been releasd into the atmosphere if the final pressure in the cylinder is 1.8*10^5 pa. assume ideal behaviour and that the gas temperature is unchanged.

P1VI = nRT
2X10^7X10^5/10^5  = 1.5X10^3 X 0.0821 X 290.1/28
after solving this,,we get
V1 = 6.42
P1V1 = P2V2
=>2 X 10^7 X 6.42/10^5  =  1.8 X 10^5 X V2/10^5
=>after solving ,,we get
=> V2 = 0.07
So finally volume occupied = V1 – V2
                                           = 6.42 – 0.07
                                          = 6.35L
