Payload can be explained as the difference between the mass of the air displaced and that of the mass of the balloon. It is important to note that the mass of the balloon is the sum total of mass of balloon skin itself and the mass of the Helium filled in it.

Hence, Payload = 5108 Kg - (50 Kg + 685.2 Kg) = 4372.8 Kg.
