Equivalent weight of metal in Metal Oxide weighing 5g weight would be about 2.25g

(5 g/5 g ) x(16 g mol Cl/ 35.5 g mol ) = 0.45
so,45 wt % of metal corresponds to Metal Oxide , therefore , 0.45 of 5g of metal oxide which is 2.25g
