i was doing a problem in stoicometry..whare there is a soltion mixture of sodium chloride and sodium carbonate, and sulphuric acid is added to it....the solution of the question says dat sodium chloride does not react with sulphuric acid while sodium carbonate does.......y is it so?
see as HCl is strong acid compared to H2SO4(1st ionisation) so it is not possible for H2SO4 to replace Chloride ion(as a case of non metal displacement reaction)
hope this will help you immensly
please approve my answer if you liked it.......
but it cant b said dat H2SO4 IS stronger than HCL...they are of same strength almost...hcl is a bit stronger actually...and u said non metal displacement reaction ......WATS DAT?
