a constant force is acting on a body. the mass if increases then its accelaration will?
it decreases as the force is constant then (mass)(acc.)=constant.
then acc. is inversly proportional to mass.
the acceleration will decrease. thats because F=ma. if force is constant then if mass increases its accelration will have to decrease so that the product of mass and acceleration is constant and equal to magnitude of force acting on the object.
F = ma
here F is constant
so, m = F/a
m is proportional to 1/a
so, if mass increases, then its acceleration will decrease definitely.
