consider a p orbital.there is probability of finding electron in both the lobes.at one instant there is probability of finding electron in one of the lobes and in the other instant the same electron can be found in the other lobe.so how does the electron move from one lobe to the other passing through the nodal plane?

Hello Student,

It is not posible for us to exactly locate the position of electron in orbital.
In p orbital there are two equal lobes. The possibility of finding electrons in these two lobes is equal. At the nodes, possibility of finding electrons in minimum.
