no. of  B ions = 4    [cubic closed packed]

no . of octahedral voids = 4 

no. of tetrahedral voids = 8 

 

since the molecular formula is A2B 

so no. of A ions = 8 

4 in tetrahedral' 4 in octahedral 

 

hence percentage of octahedral void occupied = 100

percentage of tetrahedral void occupied = 50
