The molarity of solution of glucose containing 36 grams of glucose per 400 ml of the solution.

Molarity = Moles / Volume

Moles of glucose = Weight / Mol Weight

= 36/180

= 0.2 moles

 

Therefore,

Molarity = 0.2 / 0.4 moles/liter

Molarity = 0.5 moles per liter
