The Increasing order of Acidity here will be HF<HCl<HBr<HI

This is because Acidity is actually nothing but the eainess with which H+ ions are released in solution

Here in HI, Iodine has the largest size, thus weakest bond with Hydrogen and hence largest acidity.

The size of the anions increases doen the group and hence the order is HF<HCl<HBr<HI.

Good Luck!!

Acidity means ability to readily give H+ ions.

The order of the most acidic will be

HI > HBr > HCl > HF

Since H is a small atom, and I is a big atom, so it would be easy for them to break the bond, hence H+ ions are most readily given.. While H and F are small atom, so they have a strong bond between them (high bond enthalpy).. and so, they would be least acidic.

F,Cl, Br, I - all belong to the same group
As one goes down the group, the atomic size increases and electronegativity decreases. Electronegativity is the ability of an atom to pull electrons towards itself.

acid strength order is HF > HCl > HBr > HI.

acidity means aap kitni jaldi H+ nikal sakte ho

ab hamaare paas hai

HF  flrin has min. size to iski H+ ko jakde rahne ki power max, hogi

so its a weak acid

and arrangment is

HF<HCl<HBr<HI

Dear student,
Please find the attached answer to your question.

The stability of the anions of these acids follows the order-
I- > Br- > Cl- > F-
This is due to the fact that larger the size of atomic specie the more will be the distribution of charge and thus more the stability.
Since the acid with comparitively stable anion will break down more readily. Hence, the order of acidic nature follows the trend.
HI > HBr > HCl > HF

Hope it helps.
Thanks and regards,
Kushagra
