In the same volume of water,0.1 mole of NaCl will have a greater boiling point elevation as,boiling point elevation is a colligative property, which depends on the relative amounts of the constituents and not on their identity.

Since, more ions will be produced by NaCl (ionic compound) than glucose(covalent compound) as there are more component parts in the NaCl molecule, so the NaCl solution will have more boiling point.

NaCl will have more boiling point due to more no. of ions producing in it. Boiling point is a colligative property which depends on relative amounts of the constituents.

Nacl will be having a higher bp coz it has two firmly bonded ions due to which it takes time for the heat energy to break their bond and boil the content

I think 0.1 molar sugar solution may have more boiling point elevation. The NaCl easily disintegrate in water and form Na+ and Cl- ions while it doesn`t happen in case of sugar(die to its covalent nature). So sugar molecules forms net like structure get interlinked by hydrogen bonding and form a layer. This layer donot allow the water molecules to evaporate easily. So the boiling point in sugar solution is more as compared to salt soln applying the given conditions.

Boiling point is coligative property which depends on no. of solute molecules so NaCl has high boiling point

As elevation in boiling point depends on number of particles or ions & NaCl dissociate into ions. As the number get double for NaCl elevation in boiling point also get double for NaCl.

Dear Student,
Please find below the solution to your problem.

Thanks and Regards
