For Two marks:
Draw the first its Lewis Dot structure and find the hybridization od Carbon atom in CO2.
The structure is One carbon is bonded with the two Oxygen atoms with doubly bonded.
Hence it achieves the noble config.
and the hybridization comes as:
sp and has linear shape.
