Please help me in the calculation of the following. The formula is r= ax(theta) & theta in radians. Required: The length of the curve at the end of 7.5 turns of the spiral given that the value of "a" = 0.8mm. Thanking you in anticipation.

Please help me in the calculation of the following.  The formula is r= ax(theta) & theta in radians.  Required:  The length of the curve at the end of 7.5 turns of the spiral given that the value of "a" = 0.8mm.  Thanking you in anticipation.

Dear Anantha,

After each turn the angle bound will be 2 * pi radians therefore the after 7.5 turns the angle swept will be 15* pi radians ,

Thus by substituting the values we can evaluate the required length,

dear sir, please note that the given formula has a constant of proportionality="a"which needs to be accounted for during calculation of the length of the SPIRAL. How does this answer satisfy the condition? Thank you, please reply.
